Any open conversation ideas i could use before asking out a girl on a date?

I dont just want to go up to her and ask her out right away. If it helps, we work together (but I dont want to talk about work on the date)|||Ask her what she thinks about a current topic. Find out what her interests are, and keep the conversation rolling by asking open questions such as "What is your opinion on this or that?" "How did you like ...?" "What would you do or what would you have done?" etc. It is important that you keep the focus on her and listen carefully to what she says, while making eye contact. But look away from time to time, or she will think that you're staring at her. Once you've engaged in a conversation with her, you could ask her very casually if she's got anything planned for Friday or Saturday night. If she's free, you then suggest for the two of you to go out together. Yes, you are right to say you don't want to talk about work on a date and I am sure you will find plenty of other things to talk about. Good luck :-)
