39.2 Weeks Pregnant and been 1cm dilated for 2 weeks now. Can i open by my due date?

Im so scared that i dont open and that i get a c- section.


Is there a way i can open by my due date which is in 5 days.. ?


I've been 1cm dilated since 2 weeks already.


Why dont i open?


What can i do to open?|||they dont give you a c-section if baby doesn't arrive by due date. there is nothing you can do really to bring the baby on, she will come when ready! you can try walking more, sex, raspberry tea, pineapple etc but these are all just old wives tales and havent been proven to work! if you go over by more than 10days then they will induce you but a c-section is a last resort so dont worry about that!





good luck!|||It's nothing to worry about. These things happen all of a sudden. you may be 2cm dialated one minute and the next minute you could be fully dialated. And if your not open by your due date, there still isn't anything to worry about because baby's come late all the time. But if you want to enduce your labor, start your washer and sit on it, drive over some train tracks. have someone play with your ****, there's alot of things you can do.|||They wont give you a c-section my due date is on the 26th of this month 2 days from now and ive been 2cm dilated for 3 weeks now and my doctor said that if he doesn't come on my due date then hes going to induce me so don't worry about a c-section it will be alright. good luck and god bless|||You can open up quite a bit in just 2 days.


Some women dilate 3 or 4 cms in a few hours. I wouldn't worry to much, it's possible at any time. Doctors say that getting out and walking or rocking on a pilates ball would cause the baby's head to press down on the cervix which can HELP dilate and efface some. Good luck|||You could try walking more. Just don't go too far!


I'm sure you should avoid sex though as you're already dilating.


It'll all happen in good time and as you're not yet over-due, you should be fine.
