How to book an open return date airline ticket?

Ive never booked an airline ticket before and i was wondering how i would go about booking an open return date ticket.... i cant find anything on the website about doing this???|||No, all dates have to be set in stone, especially for international travel

You have two options. You can either buy a refundable ticket where you can cancel trips or change dates.

Or you can buy a nonrefundable ticket and pay the change fee (usually $75-150 plus fare difference)|||Open tickets are a thing of the past!

The best you can do is buy a Full-fare (no restrictions) ticket with a date of departure and return and then change the date as you wish.

Mind you, should expect to pay at least twice as much as a discounted ticket.

Plus you can ONLY use it to return maximum 1 YEAR from original issue date and or departure date.
