When I open a MS Word doc we use for price quotes - date changes to that days date. How can we stop that?

Years ago someone in our office used MS Word to create a price quote sheet. When anyone opens up the quote residing on the network - the date always changes to that day's date. How can we stop that from happening. MS Word 2003|||You have two choices of how to do this:





1. Selecting the field, then pressing CTRL/SHIFT/F9 changes it to regular text.


2. Selecting the field, then pressing CTRL/F11 locks the field. You can have it update to the current date whenever you want to by selecting it, then pressing F9.
