I know its October, but is it the 1st or the 31st? i was just wondering because i'm running a harry potter club at my school and i just wanted to be certain, i'm already on it. :)|||No one knows for certain because Pottermore has never officially announced a specific date - not even in their official press release. Pottermore has only ever stated that the site will open to all in October. Any specific dates are merely speculation and are not official. As of this point, I highly doubt that the site will be ready on the first of October. There are still over 500,000 Beta testers that need to be let in, and the site has issues that need to be fixed before it goes live.
I think Pottermore purposefully never announced a specific date for this very reason - they want to make sure the site is ready first. So instead of announcing they will open on October 1 and then possibly having to push that back due to unforeseen technical problems, they simply stated that they will be open to all in October.
