When i open DBF file in excel 2007 date going in text format instead of date format, if any one help ?

When i Open my DBF file in the Excel 2007 Date convert in to Text format instead of Date Format... if nay one help its great help?|||To change a column of dates in text format to Excel date format,


1. put a 0 in a blank cell, while the cell is selected, ctrl+c to copy


2. select the column/range contains the dates in concern, right click to choose paste special... , click value, and check add, click ok


3. format the selected column/range of numbers to the date format expected.
